The Harmony Centre is an award winning, thriving, dynamic and forward-thinking mental health and wellbeing charity in West Dorset. We have been delivering high quality services for the local community in Bridport and surrounding villages for the last 10 years.
Our team consists of dedicated staff, volunteers, and trustees who contribute positively and creatively to our services. Many team members bring valuable lived experiences, enriching our work with diverse perspectives and insights. This unique blend of backgrounds helps us deliver impactful support to our community.

Wellbeing Coordinator
These roles will support people to take the steps that will work for them to improve their mental health and wellbeing, by helping them to identify what those steps might be and connecting them to what they might need , at the right time and in the right place, ultimately empowering people to make their own choices and to move towards full citizenship within their communities. Citizenship in this context means having a voice, a sense of belonging, purpose, identity and equal access to the rights and opportunities that should be available to all.
At the service, you will create a welcoming environment where people feel safe and valued. You'll build rapport and use a strengths-based approach. This role involves enabling choice, advocating for individuals in multi-disciplinary meetings, and knowing when to escalate concerns.
You will promote local resources and well-being opportunities, helping people advocate for themselves. You'll develop personalised learning and well-being plans, focusing on safety and utilising community resources. Support will be provided through various communication methods, ensuring confidentiality and effective care planning.
By addressing health inequalities and engaging communities, you will build essential partnerships with local professionals. Accurate record-keeping and effective caseload management are key. You will encourage active citizenship, engage with communities, and commit to ongoing learning and reflective practice.

Volunteer with us
We are always looking for volunteers and trustees to join our friendly team. Come and help us help others – you can give as little as 3 hours of your time a week to make a difference!
